Introducing our newest single origin coffee from Kivu, Congo. We are stoked to be working with Mighty Peace Coffee to offer this fully women produced, organic, and fair trade coffee!
Umoja means “solidarity” in Swahili. The SOPACDI Cooperative, where Umoja is produced, leans on solidarity to help provide stability in the coffee sector in a region that is often fraught with coffee smuggling. For many members, coffee is a key source of income that helps develop rights for marginalized groups, community strength, and financial independence.
Umoja is a lighter roast that boasts notes of pomegranate, chocolate, and orange peel. We are very lucky to offer this special lot and hope you will enjoy!
