Chocolate | Syrup | Nutty
A smooth, medium bodied coffee with notes of chocolate, syrup, and nuttiness. Huehuetenango is the highest and driest of Guatemala’s non-volcanic regions. Huehuetenango owes much to the dry, hot winds that come in from the mountains of Mexico’s Tehuantepec plain. The additional heat layers protects Huehuetenango from frost and enables coffee to grow up to 6,500 feet. This high elevation results in a slower growing process and thus strictly hard beans (SHB), which are more dense and flavorful.
